National Park is also nearby, as well as Dollywood Splash Country amusement park where you can ride over water rides like Thunderhead Mountain Roller Coaster and Hurricane Harbor Waterpark. There are many other things to do in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge if your kids love adventure!

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s Aquarium is a great place to visit while in Gatlinburg. It is a large aquarium with many different kinds of fish, including sharks and eels. The Ripley’s Aquarium also has an underwater tunnel that you can walk through as well as a shark tunnel where you can see sharks swimming around you! This is definitely something worth seeing if you’re visiting Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge for the first time!

The aquarium is also home to many other animals including stingrays, penguins and otters. You can even get up close and personal with some of the animals at the touch tanks! This is a great place for families with young children as well as adults to visit.

Gatlinburg Space Needle

The Gatlinburg Space Needle is a tower that you can climb to the top of and enjoy panoramic views of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is open from 11am-9pm daily, with admissions ranging from $16-$33 per adult. There are no rides or activities on this attraction; instead, visitors are free to simply take in the sights or relax on their own while they wait for others who want to go up (or down).

  • Ripley’s Aquarium – This aquarium has more than 1,200 animals from all over the world! It’s especially great if you’re planning on visiting during spring break or summer vacation. The aquarium is located right next to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum so you can spend some time there too!
  • Space Needle – The Space Needle is another one of our favorite family attractions because it gives everyone something different to experience while they’re here! You can go up by elevator or sky bridge (which offers views that change every 15 minutes) depending on how old your kids are or how much time you want them looking at things from above rather than ground level viewings like we usually do when traveling together as a family unit 🙂
