But when night falls on Budapest, it takes on an entirely different persona: thousands upon thousands of lights illuminate its streets and buildings; people hang out at cafes around Szabadsag Square or wander through bridges which connect Buda Castle (the former royal palace) to Pest side; street performers entertain passersby while locals enjoy drinks outside restaurants near Nyugati train station.

There are many other things to do during this time of year too: skating at Stromovka Ice Rink (where we went) or skiing down mountains like Karlovy Vary or Pec pod Sněžkou. You can even visit both Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion if you’re feeling ambitious!
